Our garden is looking so good at the moment, it’s time to resurrect plant of the week. These pretty geraniums hardly flowered at all last year, but look at them now! The spindly black and mauve flowers are stunning.

I think the common name for these gorgeous plants are stardust. Now that the little white flowers have appeared I can see why.

I like these. A lot.

When we first planted these tall gangly plants I didn’t think I liked them… But then they flowered! They attract little white butterflies and numerous bees.

These pretty pink flowes have brightened up the garden no end. And they just keep on coming..

Oooooh I’m trying not to pick the plants that are flowering gorgeously at the moment… but it’s so hard when they look this good! I promise I’ll get to the shrubs and the climbers and the grasses soon. Maybe in the Autumn!

This week is the Brook Thistle (or Cirsium Rivulare ‘Atropurpureum’). This is my favourite flower out of the new garden plants. I never even knew you could get a pink thistle! I love it’s height and the fact that it attracts butterfly and bees.

OK a new thread to my blog.. A couple of you have asked about the new garden planting so I thought I’d start to post plant of the week!

This week has to be the peonie as it’s in full bloom. This was actually given to me by my two best friends 3 years ago and this is the first year it’s flowered. Peonies are without a doubt my favourite flowers of all.
